DVP Author Caroline Vu short-listed for Concordia University First Book Prize

In what the Montreal Gazette has described as this "this year’s biggest underdog story," Caroline Vu was short-listed for the coveted Concordia University First Book Prize. See here for details.

About Palawan Story, the Concordia University First Book Prize jurors wrote:

"Caroline Vu shows us what refugees live through – the atrocities, the inhumanity, the fear. She takes us beyond the images we’ve seen on TV and illustrates the consequences of the physical and psychological rupture with one’s homeland, language and culture.

A wonderfully written and vibrant novel."

Caroline has also just landed a book deal for her second novel That Summer in Provincetown with Guernica Editions, one of Canada's most prestigious publishers.
